Kath
Dearl was born in March1897 in Clontarf,
Dublin and lived in Brian Boru Street. In about 1916 she was married to William
Thomas Johnson and they lived in Oxford. After Annie was born in 1920, the
family moved to Blodwen Street in Port Talbot, South Wales, where the couple
raised their family and enjoyed a good social life - Bill with his football and
cricket and Kath Johnson was captain of the Great Western Railway Social Club in
Port Talbot, and loved playing whist and darts. She
died 15 September 1972 in Neath, widow of William Thomas Johnson, locomotive
driver, of 25 Blodwen Street, Port Talbot. (source
