Hennery Chapman

Born 1670, bap 23 May 1670 at Radnage, Bucks (source LDS film St Mary’s, Radnage – Pamela)  – his father was also Henry (see note to son Daniel’s baptism)

Married to Susanna Browne on 19 feb 1698 at St Catherine Towersey.  Record states Hennery Chapman was a yeoman and Susanna Browne was daughter of the clergyman. (source parish records Oxon Record Centre)

Henry Chapman died in Towersey in 1711, buried St Catherines 22 Oct 1711 (source OFHS St Catherines, Pamela

 

Susannah Browne

Born before 1680, probably at Towersey

Susannah Chapman died and was buried in Towersey in Nov 1721 (source index to burials check record)

William North

Born before 1665 father possibly Thomas North (see note at daughter’s birth)

Married Mary Tovey of Lewknor on 16 Jul 1683 at Rotherfield Greys (near Henley) (source marriage index Oxon Record Centrecheck records)

Note:  In the 1881 census, there were a number of members of the North family still living in Towersey - notably Caleb North, 57, publican at the Three Horseshoes and George North, 51, publican at the Black Horse Inn.  here was also a William North, 51, who was a farmer of 50 acres, and living at the Grange in Towersey was Frederick North, 45 a farm bailiff

Henery Chapman

Born 1637, ap 8 Jan 1637 in Radnage, Bucks, son of Daniel Chapman and Margaret (source LDS film St Mary’s Radnage – Pamela)

Married to Jane Watts 24 Jun 1667 at Radnage, Bucks

Henry Chapman was buried 26 jun 1708 at Radnage, Bucks (source LDS film St Mary’s Radnage – Pamela)

According to his will made in 1707, he had sons Henry, Daniel and Mary and a grandson Thomas Burges the younger of Radnor.

Jane Chapman was buried in Radnage 12 Jan 1713
