The Applebys have lived around Bethnal Green since about 1800, where they were tin plate workers, tin toy manufacturers and wheelwrights. Also: Mastel, Lowry, Nay, Waggett, Bible, Ratlidge (The Lowrys and Bibles originated in Ireland)

First generation - Grandparents Walter Francis Appleby (later John Mastel), Rosetta Caroline Gorton
Second generation - Great Grandparents John Appleby, Charlotte Lowry
Third generation - Great Great Grandparents Joseph Appleby, Harriet Nay, Francis Lowry, Charlotte Waggett
Fourth generation - 3 x Great Grandparents Charles Appleby, William and Ann Nay, Michael Lowry, Alice Bible, Colwell Waggett, Mary Ann Ratlidge
Fifth generation - 4 x Great Grandparents Francis Nay, Ann Stevens, Ralth Waggett, Ophelia Butte or Buttle or Butimor
