William Olpin and
Joanna (Reed?) - Possible
parents of William Olpin
If
the William christened at St Philip and Jacob in 1834 is the correct William,
his parents were William and Joanna.
William was christened William Reed Olpin, so it is possible that his mothers
surname was Reed.
William Olpin senior would have been born
before 1815. When William junior married Sarah Cross, he gave his father's
occupation as fishmonger.
A
Joanna Reed was christened on 14 apr 1807 at Minehead in Somerset – father
William, mother Ann (source IGI)
Have
not found a marriage for this couple, but according to Parish Records, they had two
children christened at St Philip & Jacob in Bristol
